The teaser of War 2, the much-awaited sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, has finally been released — and it’s already creating a storm on the internet. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, the teaser gives a thrilling look into the intense action and drama we can expect from this YRF Spy Universe film.
The teaser, which is 1 minute and 34 seconds long, was shared by Hrithik Roshan himself on X (formerly Twitter). He used the teaser to officially welcome Jr NTR into the franchise. His caption read: “And so it begins, @tarak9999. Be prepared, there is no place for mercy. Welcome to Hell. Love, Kabir. #War2Teaser #War2”
Hrithik is back as Kabir, one of India’s most dangerous and skilled soldiers. This time, Kabir looks even tougher — bulkier, darker, and more dangerous than before. The teaser shows Hrithik in some jaw-dropping action scenes, including sword fights, car chases, fist fights, and even facing off against a wild wolf. His massive biceps and powerful punches show that he means business.
The teaser starts with a powerful voiceover from Jr NTR, who plays the villain. He says, “I’ve been watching you for a while, Kabir. India’s best soldier. RAW’s best agent. You were. Not anymore. You don’t know me. But soon… you will. Get ready for war!” This intense dialogue sets the tone for the upcoming face-off between the two stars.
We also get a glimpse of Jr NTR in some high-octane action scenes, teasing an explosive battle between him and Hrithik Roshan. Though not much is revealed about his character, it’s clear that he’s going to be a strong and dangerous opponent.
Kiara Advani also makes an appearance in the teaser. While her role is still a mystery, we see her looking glamorous in a bikini in one scene and dancing with Hrithik in another. Her character is expected to add more depth and intrigue to the story.
War 2 was first teased in the post-credit scene of Tiger 3 (2023), where it was revealed that Kabir would return — but this time more ruthless than ever. The original War, released in 2019, was one of the biggest hits of the year and helped shape the YRF Spy Universe. It starred Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff and was loved for its thrilling action and gripping storyline.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji (known for Brahmāstra), War 2 marks his first collaboration with Hrithik Roshan. The film continues the journey of Kabir in the YRF Spy Universe and brings in new twists with the entry of Jr NTR as the antagonist.
War 2 is all set to release worldwide in theatres on August 14, 2025, just a day before India’s Independence Day — promising a patriotic, action-packed cinematic treat.
