War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, is one of the most awaited Indian movies right now. The excitement for this action-packed film is sky-high. Even though the movie still has some time before hitting theatres, it has already started creating records—and the first one comes from the Telugu states!

A True Pan-India Film from Bollywood

The hype around War 2 grew massively when Jr NTR was announced as part of the sequel. Known for his huge fan base in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Jr NTR’s presence has taken the film’s popularity to another level. He also has a strong following in Karnataka. Adding to that, Hrithik Roshan is also quite popular in the South, especially among Telugu-speaking audiences.

With both these stars coming together, War 2 is shaping up to be Bollywood’s true pan-India film.

Huge Demand for War 2 in Telugu States

Because of its massive potential, several top distribution companies in the Telugu film industry are racing to grab the rights to War 2. According to a report by Pinkvilla, companies like Mythri Movie Makers, Sri Venkateshwara Creations, Sithara Entertainment, and Asian Cinemas are showing strong interest.

They are offering to buy the distribution rights for the Telugu states on a Non-Refundable Advance (NRA) basis. The offers are massive, ranging between ₹90 crore to ₹110 crore.

Record-Breaking ₹100 Crore Offer by Asian Cinemas

Out of all the companies, Asian Cinemas has made the biggest move. They have offered a jaw-dropping ₹100 crore deal to Yash Raj Films (YRF) for the Hindi and Telugu-dubbed versions of the movie in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Even Sithara Entertainment has made a strong offer of ₹80 crore. While no deal has been finalized yet, the bidding war is heating up, and the numbers keep climbing.

War 2 Beats KGF 2’s Record in Telugu Market

With these huge offers, War 2 has already made history. It has become the most expensive dubbed film ever in the Telugu states, breaking the record previously held by KGF Chapter 2. That film had set a high benchmark, but Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 has crossed it with ease.

This shows the massive excitement and expectations around the film in South India.

Also in Demand in Karnataka

The buzz doesn’t stop in the Telugu market. War 2 is also attracting big interest from distributors in Karnataka. Well-known production houses like KVN Productions and Hombale Films are keen on buying the rights to release the film in the state.

Just like in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, War 2 is expected to do big business in Karnataka too.

Final Words

Even before its release, War 2 is proving to be a box office monster. With superstar power from both North and South India, the film is already creating history in terms of distribution deals. All eyes are now on its theatrical release, and if early signs are anything to go by, War 2 might shatter several more records in the days to come.
