Vikrant Massey is not just an exceptional actor but also a person who deeply cares about social issues. The 12th Fail actor once spoke about a major argument he had with the members of his housing society over an unfair and discriminatory rule. His stand against this injustice was praised by many after a video of the interview was shared on Reddit.

Vikrant Massey’s Fight Against Discrimination

During an interview with Samdheesh, Vikrant revealed that he had recently confronted his society members after they issued a circular restricting house helpers from using the main podium and elevators. According to this rule, all house helpers were required to use the service elevator and were not allowed to enter through the main lobby. Instead, they had to enter and exit through the basement.

Expressing his shock, Vikrant said, “A circular was sent out in my building stating that house helps cannot use the podium or the main elevators. They must take the service elevator and enter through the basement instead of the main lobby.”

House Helpers Treated Worse Than Pets?

The actor pointed out the hypocrisy of allowing pets in every elevator while denying basic respect to human beings. “Dogs are allowed in all elevators, and I am an animal lover, but shouldn’t we respect humans first?” he questioned.

Vikrant was appalled at the way these workers were treated, as if they were invisible. He further added, “A human being, just like you and me, is expected to take the service elevator. They are not allowed to step on the well-maintained lawns, enter the garden, or even be seen in the podium area. They must sneak in and out through the basement, finish their work, and disappear as if they don’t exist. What kind of world are we living in?”

Public Reactions: Reddit Users Praise Vikrant Massey

After the video surfaced on Reddit, many users voiced their opinions on this shocking reality. One user commented, “Unfortunately, this happens in many housing societies across the country. I have often seen people taunting or scolding house helps if they use the main elevator.”

Another user pointed out the irony, saying, “I can never understand how some people treat animals like family, giving them the best care and comfort, but in the same breath, they treat fellow human beings like dirt.”

A Call for Change

Vikrant Massey’s stand against this discriminatory practice sheds light on an issue that exists in many elite housing societies. His words serve as a reminder that basic human dignity should be a priority. If we can be kind to animals, why can’t we extend the same kindness and respect to people who help us in our daily lives?

Discrimination based on class and profession is a harsh reality that needs to be challenged. Vikrant’s bold stance encourages others to speak up against such unfair practices and demand equal treatment for everyone, regardless of their social or economic status.
