The Bhootnii, starring Sanjay Dutt and Mouni Roy, has not been able to impress the audience or perform well at the box office. The horror-comedy, which had some buzz before release, is now struggling after almost two weeks in theaters. Despite having a well-known cast, the movie has received poor reviews and has not managed to attract many viewers.
The Bhootnii Box Office Collection Day 12
On its 12th day, The Bhootnii collected only ₹50 lakhs in India. This marks a 24% drop from its previous day collection of ₹66 lakhs. With this, the total India net box office collection now stands at just ₹10.1 crores. Considering the star cast and promotional efforts, this figure is far from expected.
The movie has been affected by several factors, including negative word of mouth and tough competition from other films at the box office. Movies like Jaat, Kesari Chapter 2, Raid 2, Hit: The Third Case, and the Hollywood film Thunderbolts have taken away much of the audience’s attention.
Day-Wise Box Office Collection of The Bhootnii:
- Day 1 – ₹1.19 crore
- Day 2 – ₹1.03 crore
- Day 3 – ₹1.27 crore
- Day 4 – ₹1.23 crore
- Day 5 – ₹89 lakhs
- Day 6 – ₹94 lakhs
- Day 7 – ₹74 lakhs
- Day 8 – ₹50 lakhs
- Day 9 – ₹49 lakhs
- Day 10 – ₹66 lakhs
- Day 11 – ₹66 lakhs
- Day 12 – ₹50 lakhs
- Total Collection (India Net) – ₹10.1 crores
As we can see, the movie started decently during the weekend but saw a continuous drop in the following days. Even the second weekend couldn’t bring in the much-needed push to the collection.
What Is The Bhootnii About?
The Bhootnii is directed by Sidhaant Sachdev and features a mix of horror and comedy. The story is set in a college campus where a ghost named Mohabbat, played by Mouni Roy, haunts a tree and shows up every Valentine’s Day. Her obsession with a student named Shantanu leads to a lot of chaos. That’s when Baba, a ghost hunter played by Sanjay Dutt, enters the scene to solve the mystery and bring peace.
The film also stars Sunny Singh, Palak Tiwari, and Aasif Khan in important roles. While the concept had potential, the execution seems to have failed in winning the hearts of audiences and critics alike.
Final Verdict
With just ₹10.1 crores in 12 days, The Bhootnii is heading toward being a box office flop. Poor reviews and heavy competition have badly affected its performance. Unless there is a sudden boost in the coming days, the film is unlikely to recover its cost.
If you’re a fan of horror comedies or Sanjay Dutt and Mouni Roy, you might still give this film a watch. But judging by the numbers, The Bhootnii hasn’t managed to cast a strong spell at the box office.
