According to a report by 123Telugu, the film has already recovered its production costs and made a small profit—before it has even hit theaters.
Odela 2 Budget and Pre-Release Business
Odela 2 was reportedly made on a budget of ₹25 crores. That’s a solid investment for a Telugu film, but the makers seem to have made smart business decisions along the way.
Shankar Pictures bought the theatrical distribution rights for the Telugu states (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh) as well as overseas markets for ₹10 crores. On top of that, the non-theatrical rights—which include digital streaming, audio, and other rights—were sold for ₹18 crores.
If we add those numbers, the film has already earned ₹28 crores before its theatrical release. Compared to its ₹25 crore budget, that means the film is sitting on a ₹3 crore profit even before audiences have bought a single ticket.

And that’s not all. The producers are currently in talks to sell the satellite broadcast rights for the Telugu version of the film. These rights are expected to fetch a significant amount, possibly pushing the pre-release profit even higher. However, it’s important to note that the producers have not officially confirmed the reported figures yet.

Directed by Ashok Teja, Odela 2 is based on a script by Sampath Nandi. The film features a strong ensemble cast led by Tamannaah Bhatia, with supporting roles played by Murli Sharma, Hebah Patel, Srikanth Iyengar, Naga Mahesh, Vasishta N. Simha, Dayanand Reddy, Gagan Vihari, Bhupal, Pooja Reddy, and Surender Reddy.
The film’s music is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, while cinematography is handled by Soundar Rajan. Rajeev Nayar is the art director, and the editing has been done by Tammiraju.
Odela 2 is jointly produced by D. Madhu and Sampath Nandi under the banners of Madhu Creations and Sampath Nandi Team Works. The film is set to release in theaters on April 17, 2025.
