Sunny Deol and director Gopichand Malineni have a reason to celebrate! Their action film Jaat is enjoying a strong run at the box office. After a solid Sunday, the movie continued to perform well on Monday, thanks to the holiday. While there was a usual drop in collections, the film still managed to earn a good amount on its fifth day.

Jaat Box Office Day 5 Collection

On its fifth day, Jaat collected an estimated ₹7–8 crore at the Indian box office. This is about a 43–50% drop from Sunday’s total of ₹14.05 crore, which is normal for a weekday, even with a holiday. Although the Monday numbers couldn’t match the film’s opening day earnings of ₹9.62 crore, it still shows a strong hold.

This brings Jaat’s five-day total to an estimated ₹47.62–₹48.62 crore. With no major competition currently in theatres, the film has a great chance to grow further before new releases hit the screens.

Jaat Has No Competition for Now

Salman Khan’s Sikandar is nearing the end of its theatrical run and isn’t affecting Jaat’s performance. That gives the Sunny Deol-starrer a free run at the box office until Kesari Chapter 2 arrives this Friday. The big question now is whether Jaat can continue its momentum during the regular working weekdays.

Jaat Enters Sunny Deol’s Top 5 Highest-Grossing Films

In just five days, Jaat has already climbed into the top 5 of Sunny Deol’s highest-grossing films. It has beaten several of his past hits and now stands at number 4 on the list. If the current trend continues, it might soon become his third highest-grosser ever, passing Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011), which earned ₹55 crore.

Interestingly, Sunny Deol has only one film in his career that has crossed the ₹100 crore mark — Gadar 2 — which went on to earn over ₹500 crore. Jaat may not reach that level yet, but the signs are positive.
