Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s latest movie Jack is having a tough time at the box office. The action-comedy, which was expected to do well, is showing poor performance in terms of earnings. Even after five days of its release, Jack has failed to make a strong impact, both in numbers and in comparison to Siddhu’s previous hit, Tillu Square.

Jack Day 5 Box Office Collection

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Jack earned only ₹53 lakhs on its fifth day. This is a major drop of about 49% from its fourth-day collection, which was ₹1.05 crore. With this, the total India net collection of the film stands at ₹6.22 crores after five days.

For a film featuring a popular actor like Siddhu Jonnalagadda, these numbers are quite low. The movie was expected to perform better, but the drop in earnings each day shows that audiences are not turning up in large numbers.

Huge Gap Between Jack and Tillu Square

What makes Jack’s performance more disappointing is the comparison with Siddhu’s previous blockbuster, Tillu Square. The 2024 romantic crime-comedy, where Siddhu starred opposite Anupama Parameswaran, was a huge hit at the box office. In just five days, Tillu Square had earned ₹44.75 crores in India.

When we compare that to Jack’s five-day total of ₹6.22 crores, the gap is massive. In fact, Jack is earning 86.10% less than Tillu Square in the same time frame. Fans who expected another big hit from Siddhu are understandably disappointed.

Tillu Square went on to collect ₹83.90 crores in India during its entire run. It proved to be a strong box office performer and helped boost Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s popularity. In contrast, Jack is struggling to get even close to those numbers.

Budget vs Collection

Another concern is the budget of Jack. The film has been made on a budget of ₹35 crores. But with a current India net collection of ₹6.22 crores, it has recovered only around 17% of its budget. If the movie continues to perform this way, it will be very hard for it to recover its full cost.

This poor performance raises questions about what went wrong. Directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, Jack had the potential to be an entertaining action-comedy. However, the lack of strong word-of-mouth and average reviews seem to be affecting its box office run.

Final Thoughts

In summary, Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Jack is not living up to expectations. Its low collections and the huge difference when compared to Tillu Square show that the film is struggling to attract audiences. With the weekend gone and weekdays usually seeing a dip in footfall, the future looks difficult for the movie.

Unless the film sees a surprising boost in collections, it may end up as a box office flop. Fans and the team behind Jack will be hoping for a turnaround, but as of now, things don’t look too promising.
