Shanaya Kapoor is all set to step into Bollywood with her debut film Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan. The young actress will play the lead opposite Vikrant Massey in this much-awaited romantic drama. In a recent interview with Mid-Day, Singh shared that Shanaya earned the role purely through talent, hard work, and commitment. He said, “The film had its own journey of finding the right actress. At first, we considered Tara Sutaria and Pratibha Ranta for the role, but their dates didn’t match with our schedule.”
It was only after those options didn’t work out that Shanaya came into the picture. “We tested Shanaya, and she passed with flying colours,” Singh added. This means she gave a strong audition that impressed the team. The director also praised Shanaya’s dedication and the serious effort she put into preparing for her role.
To make sure she was ready, Shanaya went through four months of workshops and training before filming began. She even worked closely with an acting coach to improve her performance. “By the time we started shooting, she knew the entire script by heart,” said Singh.
The role Shanaya plays in Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan was not easy. It demanded deep emotions and strong acting skills. However, Shanaya didn’t shy away from the challenge. Instead, she took it as an opportunity to grow as an actress. According to sources, she is choosing unique and different roles on purpose to stand out and prove herself in the film industry.
