Samantha Ruth Prabhu is busy promoting her first film as a producer, Subham, which is set to release on May 9. The actress has been actively sharing updates on her social media in the days leading up to the release. Recently, she posted a series of photos that gave fans a glimpse into the film’s promotions. These pictures included moments with her team, behind-the-scenes shots, and a special photo with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru.

Fans may recognize Raj Nidimoru from their earlier collaborations. Samantha and Raj have worked together before on popular projects like The Family Man and Citadel: Honey Bunny. Their professional partnership doesn’t end with films — they also co-own a pickleball team named Chennai Super Champs. Because of their frequent appearances and business partnerships, netizens have often speculated about their relationship. However, both Samantha and Raj have remained silent on the rumors.

It’s important to note that Raj Nidimoru is married to Shhyamali De, and they have a daughter together. Samantha was earlier married to Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya. Their marriage ended in 2021 after four years.

With Subham, Samantha marks her debut as a film producer under her new banner, Tralala Productions. The film is special not only because it’s her first project as a producer but also because it highlights her strong stance on issues like gender equality in the industry.

During a recent press meet in Hyderabad, Samantha shared her views on fair pay in the film business. When asked if she would work with established stars under her new production house, she said she would be careful with such decisions. “I never say never,” she said, “but under Tralala Productions, I want to make thoughtful choices.”

She went on to talk about her vision for the company. “I believe in equal skill, equal pay, and equal experience. It was easier to do this in Subham because everyone involved was a newcomer,” Samantha explained. “Of course, different films have different demands. But as much as possible, I want to ensure fairness in every project I take on.”

Her statement comes at a time when discussions around pay equity in Indian cinema are growing. Samantha’s comments have been appreciated by many who believe that her production company could set a new example in the industry.

Subham is already creating buzz, and with Samantha’s star power behind it, fans are eagerly waiting for its release. The actress-producer’s approach to making socially responsible and inclusive cinema is being seen as a welcome step in the right direction.

As she continues to promote the film and push important conversations forward, Samantha is proving once again why she remains one of the most admired figures in Indian entertainment today.
