Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan’s original horror film Sinners is smashing records at the global box office. The movie has now earned more than $300 million worldwide, making it one of the biggest films of 2025 so far. Not only has it become the highest-grossing horror movie of the year, but it has also made more money than all three Creed movies, which also starred Michael B. Jordan.

Sinners was released in theaters on April 18, 2025. It is a supernatural horror film made on a budget of $90 million. Just a month after its release, it has already collected over three times that amount. With the weekend still ongoing, the film is expected to bring in even more money before Sunday ends.

According to box office analyst Luiz Fernando, Sinners crossed the $300 million mark globally before this weekend wrapped up. As of now, the film has earned a total of $303.5 million worldwide. This includes $229.72 million from the domestic (U.S.) box office and $73.8 million from international markets. The movie is still going strong in the U.S., where it made $4.35 million on its 29th day of release. It’s currently showing on over 3,500 screens across the country.

This success puts Sinners ahead of some major titles. It has now made more money than:

  • Creed – $174.1 million worldwide
  • Creed II – $214.2 million worldwide
  • Creed III – $276.1 million worldwide

It has also beaten the global box office totals of two other popular horror films released after the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • A Quiet Place Part II – $297.4 million
  • Five Nights at Freddy’s – $297.1 million

With these numbers, Sinners is now the third highest-grossing horror film released post-COVID. Only two horror movies released after the pandemic have done better globally.

The film’s success is also a big moment for the duo of Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan. They first worked together on Creed, where Coogler directed and Jordan played the lead. They also collaborated on Black Panther and its sequel. Now, their horror venture is proving to be a winning move.

Industry experts predict that Sinners could finish its global run with earnings between $350 million and $400 million. If it keeps up this strong performance, it might climb even higher on the list of top-grossing horror films in history.

With its gripping story, strong direction, and star power, Sinners is proving to be one of 2025’s biggest box office surprises. Fans of both horror movies and the Coogler-Jordan team have made this film a must-watch hit.

Stay tuned for more updates on Sinners as it continues to scare up big numbers at the box office.
