She posted a story saying, “Shooting nights for the next couple of days…So the only posts and stories you’ll get of us is of either the moon or the camera lights or the stars (which in our city is impossible to see).” Her post gave a clear hint about the film’s spooky theme and the nighttime filming.
The actress also shared a fun behind-the-scenes moment with her director, Aditya A Sarpotdar. On her Instagram Stories, Rashmika uploaded a photo of the director sitting on a chair, closely monitoring the shoot. Alongside the image, she wrote, “My director… making me shoot night shoot every time… Ice bucket… Story of my life.”
In a playful reply, the director reshared her post with the caption: “Where mortals fear the night, the vampires find their power.” Rashmika responded to this with, “Wise words… knows exactly how to make Thama (vampire) happy.”
Thama promises to be a unique horror comedy that blends humor with supernatural thrills. The film revolves around a passionate historian who dives deep into ancient manuscripts and uncovers chilling truths about local vampire legends. As he digs further, strange and dark forces start to awaken. The movie is written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara, and is backed by the successful producer duo Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under the banner of Maddock Films.
