Kesari: Chapter 2 – The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh is based on the tragic incident of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. After watching the film, Rana Daggubati was deeply moved by its powerful storytelling. He decided to bring the movie to Telugu-speaking audiences so that more people can learn about this important part of India’s history.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Rana praised the film and called it a must-watch historical courtroom drama. He wrote,

“Just watched an incredible historical courtroom drama — Kesari: Chapter 2, The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. A powerful, important film that stands tall and stays deep with the Indian in you. This is storytelling that deserves to be seen across languages.”

He also mentioned that his production house, Suresh Productions, will work hard to bring this film to Telugu cinemas in the best way possible.

“We at Suresh Productions will do everything we can to bring this cinematic gem to Telugu audiences in the best way in cinemas. A must-watch. And great performances by Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan & Ananya Panday.”

This is a special moment, as it completes a kind of full circle. Earlier, Dharma Productions, who is behind Kesari: Chapter 2, had brought the blockbuster Baahubali to North Indian audiences. Now, Rana Daggubati is doing the same by introducing this Hindi film to the South.

Kesari: Chapter 2 stars Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday in key roles. The film tells the story of one of the longest legal battles fought by an Indian against the British government. It focuses on the brutal massacre that took place at Jallianwala Bagh, where General Dyer ordered his troops to fire on thousands of innocent people gathered peacefully. This horrifying act led to one of the biggest genocides in Indian history.

Through this film, director and makers aim to highlight the pain, courage, and strength of the Indian people who stood up against British oppression. Rana believes that stories like this should reach everyone, no matter what language they speak.

With stars like Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday delivering powerful performances, and strong support from actors like Rana Daggubati, Kesari: Chapter 2 is quickly becoming a film that every Indian should watch.
