R Madhavan and Siddharth have reunited on screen once again with their new film Test, now streaming on Netflix. This marks their third collaboration after their much-loved appearances in Aayutha Ezhuthu (2004) and Rang De Basanti (2006). To celebrate their latest film, the actors recreated one of their most iconic scenes from Rang De Basanti, and fans couldn’t be happier!
Madhavan and Siddharth Revisit a Classic Rang De Basanti Scene
Netflix India shared a fun and nostalgic video on Instagram titled “How it started and how it’s going.” The clip starts with a memorable scene from Rang De Basanti where Siddharth’s character compliments Madhavan’s jacket. Fast forward to the present day, the scene is recreated with the same playful energy.
In the new version, Siddharth tells Madhavan, “Sexy jacket bro,” to which Madhavan replies with a grin, “Thank you. You want this one too?” Siddharth responds, “I’ll get it eventually.”
Fans were delighted to see the actors bring back the same charm from the classic film. The caption on Netflix India’s post read, “Rang De Basanti Maddy and Sid – you will always be famous 💛 Watch TEST, out now in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, only on Netflix! #TESTOnNetflix.”
Actor Aditi Rao Hydari also reacted to the post with a few heart and fire emojis, showing her love for the video.
A Quick Look Back at Rang De Basanti
Released in 2006, Rang De Basanti is a political drama directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The film tells the story of Sue, a British film student who comes to India to make a documentary about Indian freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru—based on her grandfather’s diary.
She meets five carefree young men, including characters played by Aamir Khan, Siddharth, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, and Kunal Kapoor, and casts them in her film.
