Pushpa 2: The Rule has obliterated all previous opening records for Hindi films at the box office, rightfully claiming the throne. With Allu Arjun leading the charge, this film truly lives up to its name, “Jhukega Nahi Saala,” smashing every expectation in the Hindi-speaking regions.

Pushpa 2 Hindi Box Office Day 1

On its first day, Thursday, December 5, Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated sequel raked in an astonishing ₹72 crore! This monumental opening shattered all previous records in Bollywood, even surpassing those held by Shah Rukh Khan.

Allu Arjun VS Shah Rukh Khan

King Khan previously held the record for the biggest Hindi film opening with Jawan, which grossed ₹65.5 crore. He had been comfortably seated on this throne for the past year, untouchable until Allu Arjun, after 456 days, toppled SRK’s reign with Pushpa 2.

Pushpa 2 Opening VS Pushpa

The first part of Pushpa had a humble opening of ₹3.33 crore at the box office. However, Pushpa 2 has eclipsed this, delivering an astounding 2062% higher opening. The first part earned ₹106 crore in its lifetime at the Hindi box office, and with its opening alone, Pushpa 2 has already amassed 67% of that figure.

Destroys The Entire Lifetime Of Devara Hindi

Pushpa 2 has also demolished the entire lifetime collection of Devara in Hindi. Jr NTR’s film earned ₹68.14 crore and was deemed a success. Yet, Allu Arjun, with his colossal ₹72 crore opening, has surpassed Devara’s entire lifetime earnings on just its first day. Remarkably, it has outperformed the lifetime collections of every South Indian release in Hindi, except for Kalki 2898 AD. We’re eagerly waiting to see what other records this beast will break.
