Preity Zinta, known for her charming smile and girl-next-door image, is much more than just a Bollywood beauty. The Kal Ho Naa Ho actress is also fearless when it comes to standing up for what is right. Over the years, she has spoken openly about many serious issues, including harassment in the film industry. One such brave moment was when she revealed a personal story about being molested in Delhi.

In an old interview with Bollywood Life, shared via India Times, Preity recalled a disturbing incident from her younger days. She said that while growing up, she attended an all-girls school, so she never experienced eve-teasing. However, things changed when she went to Delhi.

Talking about the incident, Preity said, “In school, I went to a girls’ school, so there was no eve-teasing. There were only girls. But when I went to Delhi, yes—I got my butt pinched. I had pink cheeks and very fair skin, and people would stare and try to tease me.”

But Preity didn’t stay silent. She stood up for herself. “I slapped a few guys here and there,” she continued. Her bold attitude worried her brother, who told her, “You’re going to get killed. Don’t get into all this.” Soon after, she moved to Mumbai, where she found things to be much better.

This story is just one example of Preity Zinta’s fearless personality. She has always spoken her mind, even when others chose to stay quiet. Her strength and confidence come not only from her strong personality but also from her academic background. Not many people know that Preity holds a degree in criminal psychology, which adds to her awareness and independent thinking.

In the early 2000s, Preity made headlines when she testified in court during the Bharat Shah underworld case. At a time when most people in the film industry were afraid to speak out, she took a bold stand. Her decision to testify showed how courageous she is, both on and off screen.

Over the years, she has also talked about the challenges women face in the film industry, including harassment and unfair treatment on film sets. While some people admire her honesty and courage, others have criticized her for not staying quiet. But Preity has never let that stop her. She believes in doing the right thing, even if it means going against the norm.

Whether it’s gender equality, professionalism, or social issues, Preity Zinta has always raised her voice. Her actions have made her a role model for many young women who look up to her for inspiration.

On the work front, Preity Zinta is all set to make a comeback with Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming film Lahore 1947. Fans are excited to see her on the big screen again.
