There were strong rumours that Prabhas was not happy with the VFX quality he saw in the initial cuts. Being a perfectionist, the actor didn’t want to release something that looked unfinished or poor in quality. He reportedly asked the VFX teams to improve the visuals before moving forward. This decision caused the shoot to come to a temporary halt.

Because of this, the makers have still not announced The Raja Saab’s release date, adding to the fans’ confusion and frustration.

Director Maruthi shares an update

Director Maruthi, who is helming The Raja Saab, recently gave a brief update. He said that multiple VFX companies are currently working on the film and the team is waiting for the final output. Though this is a time-consuming process, the goal is to make sure the film looks great on screen.

Is Prabhas moving on to Spirit?

There was a lot of buzz that the continued delays in The Raja Saab have pushed Prabhas to shift focus to his next film, Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. While it is true that Prabhas is expected to start shooting for Spirit in October, sources say that he is still committed to completing The Raja Saab first.

Some parts of the film, including song sequences, are yet to be shot. However, Prabhas wants to ensure that The Raja Saab turns out to be a quality product, even if it means waiting a little longer.
