Nick Jonas is a proud dad, and he recently shared some heartwarming updates about his daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The singer and actor, who is currently making his debut on Broadway with The Last Five Years, opened up about his daughter during a podcast appearance. Nick and Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ little girl is growing up fast and already showing signs of a fun and active childhood.
Malti Marie, who turned 3 this year, has started going to nursery school and is now also taking karate classes. Nick revealed that she recently got her first karate belt, and he couldn’t be more proud of her achievements at such a young age.
During the podcast, the host asked Nick if he would ever sing a duet with his wife, Priyanka Chopra. Nick laughed and replied, “She is an amazing singer, and she is shooting a movie in India right now. I think our best duet is probably our little girl.” His sweet comment showed how much love and joy Malti brings into their lives.
Nick also shared some funny and cute things about Malti. A few months ago, he revealed that she has her own special names for him and his brothers. While many fans know them as the Jonas Brothers, Malti has a more creative name for them—she calls them the “Doughnut Brothers.” And instead of calling her uncle Joe Jonas by name, she adorably calls him “Go.”
Nick added that Malti understands that her dad and uncles are famous, but to her, they’re just family. He said, “The best part about being a dad for me and balancing things like this work stuff—and this is hardly work—is that you could feel like your coolest self on top of the world, and she just doesn’t care at all.”
He went on to say that all she wants to do is play with him, especially games related to the Disney movie Moana. “She wants to play Moana and Maui with me, and that means more to me than anything else,” Nick said with a smile. “Just the fact that I’m just dad when I’m home, it means a lot.”
Nick and Priyanka Chopra Jonas got married in 2018 in a beautiful ceremony that blended Indian and Western traditions. In 2022, they welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, through surrogacy. Since then, the couple has often shared glimpses of their parenting journey, always highlighting how much they love being with their daughter.
From fun karate classes to playful Disney roleplays, it’s clear that Malti is already bringing a lot of love and laughter to the Jonas household. And while Nick Jonas continues to shine on stage and in music, it’s his role as “dad” that truly brings him the most joy.
