Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is almost done with its first week at the Indian box office. The Tom Cruise-led action film had a strong start, especially over the weekend, but now it’s starting to slow down during the weekdays.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, this is the eighth installment in the Mission: Impossible series. Fans rushed to theatres when it was released, helping the movie earn big numbers in the first few days. But as the week progressed, collections have started to drop. On day 5, the film earned around ₹5 crores, which is an 11% drop from the previous day’s collection of ₹5.60 crores.

Despite the mid-week dip, the movie has still managed to cross an important milestone. In five days, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has made around ₹51.90 crores net in India. Including taxes, its gross total comes to about ₹61.24 crores, which is a great achievement for a Hollywood film in India.

Day-Wise Box Office Collection in India:

  • Day 1 (Opening Day): ₹17.50 crores
  • Day 2: ₹18 crores
  • Day 3: ₹5.80 crores
  • Day 4: ₹5.60 crores
  • Day 5: ₹5 crores
Total so far: ₹51.90 crores (net)

With these numbers, the film is now the fourth highest-grossing Tom Cruise movie in India. It is only ₹2.10 crores away from beating Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, which made ₹54 crores in its lifetime at the Indian box office.

Tom Cruise’s Top 3 Grossing Films in India (Net Collections):

  1. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One – ₹120 crores
  2. Mission: Impossible – Fallout – ₹77 crores
  3. Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation – ₹54 crores

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is expected to overtake Rogue Nation very soon and move into the third spot. However, it is still far behind Dead Reckoning Part One, which remains Tom Cruise’s biggest hit in India so far.

 What’s Next?

While the film had a solid start, it is now crucial for it to maintain a steady pace. If the daily collections keep dropping and fall below the ₹5 crore mark, it may struggle to cross the bigger milestones. To beat Dead Reckoning Part One, the movie will need strong word of mouth and solid weekend numbers.

With two days left in its first week, all eyes are on how well Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning performs next. Can Tom Cruise break his own records again? We’ll have to wait and watch.
