Plot: A Courageous Fight for Justice
Kesari Chapter 2 is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and is based on true events from India’s colonial history. The movie tells the story of C. Sankaran Nair, a fearless and respected barrister, played by Akshay Kumar. After the horrific Jallianwala Bagh Massacre of 1919, Nair decides to challenge the British Empire in court.
His mission is to bring justice to the victims by exposing the truth about the British government’s involvement. The courtroom drama is adapted from the book The Case That Shook the Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.
The film also stars R. Madhavan as lawyer Neville McKinley, along with Ananya Panday, Regina Cassandra, Simon Paisley Day, and Amit Sial in key roles.
