Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s much-hyped spy action-comedy Jack hit theatres on April 10, 2025. Directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, the film promised an exciting mix of action and humor but has sadly left many fans and critics disappointed. Despite the buzz before its release, Jack has opened to mixed to negative reviews from both audiences and reviewers.

A Letdown for Fans of Siddhu Jonnalagadda

Jack was expected to be a fun entertainer with a thrilling spy angle. However, the movie’s writing and direction have not met expectations. Many viewers have expressed their frustration on social media, pointing out the film’s weak script, poor pacing, and lack of emotional depth.

One Twitter user summed up the experience by saying,
“#Jack: No Style, No Substance… After the uninteresting 1st half, 2nd half doesn’t recover even with change of pace. #BommarilluBhaskar delivers a below average product. His style and kind of emotion are missing. #Siddhu & #VaishnaviChaitanya’s jodi and their chemistry doesn’t connect.”

Another viewer mentioned,
“#Jack tiring 1st half. Expect Siddhu little comedy here and there & interval sequence everything seems clumsy. Hoping for better second half.”

Weak Writing and Poor Execution

A big issue for many has been the film’s technical quality. Netizens have criticized the background score, VFX, and use of green screen, calling them subpar. While Siddhu Jonnalagadda puts in a sincere performance, many feel that the film gives him very little to work with.

One harsh comment read:
“#Jack is a spy action comedy that falls flat—weak writing, clumsy screenplay, cringe spy angle, and barely-there comedy. Siddhu tries, but the film gives him nothing to work with. Bad music, low production, visible green screens. Hard to sit through.”

Another viewer didn’t hold back, tweeting:
“Worst RAW movie I’ve ever seen! #Jack’s character is terribly diseased by the worst writing, which could have otherwise been memorable. Bimbo, yet no growth Afsana/Bhanumati doesn’t help at all. #Siddhu’s talent wasted.”

Cast and Crew

Apart from Siddhu Jonnalagadda, the film features Vaishnavi Chaitanya, Prakash Raj, Naresh, and Brahmaji in key roles. The movie is produced by B. V. S. N. Prasad under the Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra banner.

Final Verdict

While Jack shows glimpses of Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s potential and commitment to the role, the film struggles with its basic storytelling and presentation. Fans of the actor might still find moments to enjoy, but for the general audience, Jack misses the mark. The combination of a weak script, unimpressive visuals, and poor editing has made it hard for the film to connect with viewers.
