Her first experience in Bollywood was not as an actor, but as an assistant director on Antim: The Final Truth, a film that also starred Salman Khan. It was actually Salman who encouraged Palak to begin her career by learning how a film is made from behind the camera.
Palak recently shared how Salman Khan has been a big guiding force in her journey. She recalled an important moment from her teenage years. It happened during a Bigg Boss reunion event. Palak was about 17 or 18 years old at the time when Salman noticed how much she had grown. He casually asked her what she planned to do in the future. Palak told him she wanted to become an actress. Salman then gave her advice that changed everything—he told her to first learn about the work that happens off-camera before jumping into acting.
Following Salman’s advice, Palak started working on film sets as an assistant director. She said this experience helped her understand how hard people work behind the scenes and made her appreciate the filmmaking process much more. According to Palak, it’s easy to take things for granted as an actor, but working behind the scenes taught her to respect every person on set.
Palak also admitted that even after working with Salman in a full film, she still gets star-struck around him. She said, “Even now, if I see him or get a message from him, I get nervous. I stop talking and start stuttering. It’s strange because I don’t usually get star-struck, but he completely changes my personality.” She added that Salman often calms her down and tells her, “Araam se bolo,” which means “Speak slowly and calmly.”
On the professional front, Palak Tiwari was last seen in the horror-comedy Bhootnii, which released in theatres last month. The film featured a strong cast including Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, and Sunny Singh. Palak played a key role and received positive feedback for her performance.
