In a surprising security breach, a 23-year-old man named Jitendra Kumar Singh from Chhattisgarh was arrested on May 20 after he broke into Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai — the high-security residential complex where Bollywood superstar Salman Khan lives. This incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of celebrities and the effectiveness of security protocols, even for those under high-level protection like Salman Khan.
According to reports, Singh had been seen loitering around the building earlier in the day. Security personnel, who are part of Salman Khan’s Y+ level protection team, noticed him and asked him to leave the area. Instead of complying, Singh allegedly got angry, threw his mobile phone on the ground, and argued with the guards.
Despite being warned once, Singh came back later in the evening. This time, he managed to enter the premises by using a car registered to a resident of the building. His entry went unnoticed at first, but the security team, already aware of his earlier behavior, remained on alert. They quickly recognized and stopped him before he could reach Salman Khan’s home.
The Bandra Police were called immediately, and Singh was taken into custody. During interrogation, he told the police that he was a big fan of Salman Khan and had been trying to meet him for some time. “I just wanted to see him once. But they kept stopping me,” he reportedly said.
The police have registered an FIR against Singh for trespassing. Investigations are underway to find out if he had any help from inside the building or if there were any lapses in the security system.
Luckily, no one was harmed in the incident. However, the fact that someone could get past tight security and reach close to a celebrity like Salman Khan has worried both authorities and the public. Police officials have said that security measures at Galaxy Apartments will be tightened further to prevent any future breaches.
Salman Khan, one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, is currently in Mumbai due to his upcoming film projects. He is set to play the role of Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, a real-life hero who lost his life in the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese forces. The actor was last seen in the movie Sikandar.
This incident has once again sparked a larger conversation around celebrity safety, fan behavior, and the need for stronger security systems for public figures. While fans may feel deeply connected to their favorite stars, crossing personal boundaries can lead to serious consequences — not just legally, but also in terms of public safety.
