Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan is finally making a grand comeback to his home industry with an exciting new film titled I’m Game. The movie is a sports-based action thriller directed by Nahas Hidhayath, who earlier made the hit film RDX. Fans of Dulquer and Malayalam cinema have been eagerly waiting for this moment, and the project has officially started rolling.

I’m Game Begins Filming in Thiruvananthapuram

Filming for I’m Game began on Saturday in Thiruvananthapuram with a traditional pooja ceremony. Although Dulquer Salmaan couldn’t attend the event, he shared a heartfelt message on social media. He wrote, “At long last we begin shooting of our highly ambitious film, I’m Game! We have assembled a wonderful team of technicians and actors and have been waiting to get started. Wishing the entire team good luck and prayers for a fantastic first schedule!”

Dulquer is expected to join the shoot during the second phase of production.

The pooja was attended by other key actors including Antony Varghese, popularly known as Pepe, and Tamil filmmaker-actor Mysskin. This will mark Mysskin’s first appearance in a Malayalam film, adding to the excitement.

Dulquer’s Big Return After King of Kotha

I’m Game marks Dulquer’s first Malayalam movie in two years. His last film in the industry, King of Kotha, had high expectations but didn’t perform well at the box office. This time, fans are hopeful that I’m Game will bring back the charm that made Dulquer a favorite among Malayalam movie lovers.

What to Expect from I’m Game: Action, Sports & Drama

The film is being described as a fast-moving sports thriller filled with action scenes and emotional moments. The story has been co-written by Sajeer Baba, Bilal Moidu, and Ismail Aboobacker. Dialogues are by Adarsh Sukumaran and Shabas Rasheed, the writers behind the blockbuster RDX.

The technical team is top-notch. Jimshi Khalid will be handling the cinematography, while music will be composed by the talented Jakes Bejoy. Editing is in the hands of Chaman Chakko, known for his sharp cuts, and the film’s set designs are by Ajayan Chalissery.

Pan-Indian Release in Five Languages

I’m Game is being produced under Dulquer’s banner, Wayfarer Films, along with Jom Varghese. The film is set to release in five languages—Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada—aiming for a wide pan-India audience.

What’s Next for Dulquer Salmaan?

Besides I’m Game, Dulquer has several interesting projects lined up. He will be seen in the Tamil period drama Kaantha, which is reportedly based on the real-life Lakshmikanthan murder case from 1944. He also has a Telugu film titled Aakasam Lo Oka Tara. In Malayalam, he is set to work again with actor-director Soubin Shahir, with whom he earlier collaborated in Parava.

With such a promising lineup and a strong team behind I’m Game, Dulquer Salmaan’s return to Malayalam cinema is surely one of the most awaited events in Indian film this year.
