Bollywood actor Mukul Dev passes away at 54: friends and Co-stars remember his kind heart and talent.

Popular actor Mukul Dev, known for his powerful performances in Hindi and Punjabi films as well as on Indian television, passed away on May 23 at the age of 54. He had reportedly been unwell for some time and was admitted to the ICU before his death. His passing has left the entertainment industry in deep shock and sadness.

Mukul Dev was widely loved for both his acting skills and his humble nature. Many actors and friends have shared emotional tributes to him, remembering him as not just a talented performer but also a wonderful human being.

Actress Deepshikha Nagpal, a close friend of Mukul, shared her sadness over the loss. “We were in the same friend group, and whenever he visited Mumbai, we used to meet. He even came to support me during my song launch. I still can’t believe he’s gone. He was just 54, and such a good person,” she said. She also shared that Mukul had been living with his mother and daughter, and they all stayed in touch through a group chat. “Life is so unpredictable,” she added.

Actor Manoj Bajpayee also expressed his grief online. He called Mukul “a brother in spirit” and said, “Gone too soon, too young. Mukul’s warmth, talent, and passion were one of a kind. My prayers are with his family. Miss you meri jaan… until we meet again. Om Shanti.”

Actor Vindu Dara Singh spoke about Mukul’s final days. He said that after Mukul’s parents passed away, the actor became more private and stayed at home most of the time. “His health got worse in the last few days, and he was in the hospital. My condolences to his brother and everyone who loved him. He was a wonderful person, and we will miss him deeply,” Vindu said.

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh also took to social media to express his sorrow. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Really upset with the sad news of dear Mukul leaving us so soon. A powerhouse performer and a lovely person. My deepest condolences to @RahulDevRising @mugdhagodse267 and the entire family. God be with you all during these tough times. Om Shanti.”

Mukul Dev had a long and successful career in films and television. Some of his notable movies include Jal, R… Rajkumar, Son of Sardaar, Himmatwala, Dastak, and many Punjabi films. On TV, he was loved for roles in shows like Gharwali Uparwali, Kasshish, Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai, and Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan.

Though he had stepped away from the spotlight in recent years, Mukul’s performances and warm personality are still remembered by many. His contribution to Indian cinema and television has left a lasting impact.
