The story is set in the fictional royal world of Morpur, and fans got a sneak peek into it with a teaser released back in February. The teaser showed that Sophia and Aviraaj don’t get along at first, which adds tension and excitement to the plot.
The Royals is directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana. The show has a star-studded cast, including big names from the industry. In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, actor Vihaan Samat, who also plays a royal family member in the series, shared some exciting details. He said, “The Royals is about a royal family and the many people around them. I play one of the royal members. There are some really cool characters in the series that viewers will enjoy watching. It’s especially exciting to see Zeenat Aman ma’am in a brand new avatar.”
Vihaan also spoke about the shooting experience and the beautiful sets. He revealed that some parts of the series were filmed in a grand palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Describing the experience, he said, “Shooting at that palace was like stepping into a fairytale. The set looked like something straight out of a children’s book or comic. It was a magical and unforgettable experience.”
