Akshay Kumar’s latest comedy film, Housefull 5, is seeing a dip in its box office performance as it enters the second weekend. While the film had a strong start, it is now showing signs of slowing down. On its second Friday (June 13), the film collected between 6.5 to 7 crore, bringing its total India net collection to around 139 – 140 crore.
Strong First Week Performance
In its first seven days, Housefull 5 crossed the 200 crore mark globally. It ended its first week in India with a collection of 133.58 crore net. The film, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, stars Akshay Kumar in a lead role and belongs to the popular Housefull comedy franchise. Despite its strong start, the film seems to be losing momentum as it steps into the second week.
Second Friday Drop Compared to Housefull 4
Housefull 5’s day 8 performance is slightly lower than expected. The second Friday collections fell short compared to its predecessor, Housefull 4. Released in 2019, Housefull 4 had collected 8.09 crore on its second Friday, which is higher than Housefull 5’s 6.5–7 crore range.
The slowing trend suggests that Housefull 5 might struggle to reach the 150 crore mark in India in the coming days, especially if the weekend shows only a small boost.
Worldwide Collection and Global Appeal
While the film is facing challenges domestically, its worldwide earnings have crossed 200 crore, which is still a major milestone. This shows that Akshay Kumar continues to enjoy strong support from international audiences.
Housefull 5 Becomes Akshay Kumar’s 8th Highest-Grossing Film
With the latest numbers, Housefull 5 has now overtaken some of Akshay Kumar’s other hit films. It has surpassed Sky Force, which made 134.93 crore, and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, which earned 133.60 crore. This makes Housefull 5 the actor’s 8th highest-grossing movie in India.

The second weekend will be crucial for Housefull 5. If the collections do not improve significantly on Saturday and Sunday, it may fall short of the 150 crore mark in India. However, with a strong brand and Akshay Kumar’s loyal fan base, the film still has a chance to add more to its total.
