I would have been happier if people focused on that word instead. In those times, even getting shot would have hurt less than being called a slave.”

“This film is very personal to me,” he said. “My father was born across Jallianwala Bagh in a lane called Aaloo Katra Gali. My grandfather saw the events of the massacre. These stories were passed down from my grandfather to my father, and then to me. Director Karan Singh Tyagi also shared many untold stories during filming. We’ve made this film with a lot of emotion and anger.”
