The excitement for Ajith Kumar’s upcoming Tamil movie Good Bad Ugly is growing fast! Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, this action-comedy is all set to hit theatres on April 10, 2025, and it’s already making waves with its advance booking collections. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film also stars Trisha Krishnan and is grabbing attention for its high-energy promos, star cast, and grand release across South India.
This movie marks Mythri Movie Makers’ grand entry into Tamil cinema, following their massive success with Pushpa 2 in Telugu and their upcoming Bollywood film Jaat in Hindi. With just three days left for release, Good Bad Ugly is showing excellent box office potential.
Advance Booking Update – Day 1 Collections So Far
As of 10 AM today, the movie has already made ₹7.98 crore gross in advance ticket sales for its first day, and this doesn’t even include blocked seats. What’s even more impressive is that the collections saw a 27% jump in the last 24 hours!
Currently, the movie is being screened in 2,400+ shows across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, and Kerala. However, it’s Tamil Nadu that’s leading the charge, contributing a massive ₹7.59 crore, which is 95% of the total sales.
This performance puts Good Bad Ugly ahead of several major Tamil releases in recent times. It has already surpassed the advance booking records of:
- Leo – ₹5.93 crore
- Vidaamuyarchi – ₹5.41 crore
- Ponniyin Selvan I – ₹5.14 crore
In fact, it is now the second-biggest Tamil opening of 2025, only behind Beast, which had collected ₹7.87 crore four days before its release.
Surpasses Dragon, Eyes Top 5 in India
Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly has also outperformed Dragon (₹6.37 crore gross), a big release this year starring Pradeep Ranganathan. It now holds the second-highest Tamil movie opening of 2025, behind Vidaamuyarchi (₹31.86 crore gross) overall.
Now, the film is targeting other big Indian releases in terms of advance bookings. The next goal is to beat Daaku Maharaaj, which collected ₹9.10 crore in pre-sales. That milestone is expected to be crossed very soon, possibly by the end of the day.
Beyond that, Good Bad Ugly will be aiming for Sikandar, Salman Khan’s much-awaited film, which earned ₹10.09 crore in advance sales. But the real challenge lies in breaking into the Top 5 Advance Booking Sales in India for 2025, which requires a minimum of ₹12.40 crore.
