The upcoming comedy film Dhamaal 4 recently faced a major challenge while shooting a dangerous action scene. The original plan was to use VFX (visual effects) for the scene due to safety concerns. However, director Indra Kumar and lead actor Ajay Devgn decided to film the stunt live to bring more realism and excitement to the movie.
The risky scene features Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, and Jaaved Jaaferi hanging from a cliff. While this was supposed to be done with the help of VFX, the team later thought a real stunt would look more believable and thrilling on screen. However, this sudden change raised concerns, especially for Arshad Warsi.
Arshad Warsi Was Nervous About the Cliff Scene
The scene required all four actors to hang from a cliff and say their lines at the same time. Arshad’s position was the most dangerous as he was supposed to hang from the farthest edge. There was no option of using stunt doubles because the scene is packed with dialogue and comedy, which needed the original actors’ expressions and timing.
A source shared via Mid-Day, “It wasn’t meant to be a real stunt because the location was too risky. But just days before the shoot, Ajay and director Indra Kumar decided to film it live on location. Arshad was the most worried as his position was at the edge, making it the most dangerous.”
Ajay Devgn Steps Up as a Problem Solver On Set
Ajay Devgn, known for his vast experience in doing action films, took charge of the situation. Working closely with action director RP Yadav, he redesigned the scene to ensure the safety of all actors, especially considering their age and comfort level.
“These actors are now in their 40s and 50s. They aren’t as flexible or used to stunts as they once were,” the source said. “Ajay simplified the scene, removing difficult moves and going over every step with the actors to make sure they were comfortable.”
Ajay also arranged full safety measures including harnesses, a safety net, and an emergency medical team on standby. Only after Arshad Warsi felt fully safe and confident, he agreed to shoot the scene.
Real Action, Real Comedy – What Fans Can Expect from Dhamaal 4
Once all safety measures were in place, the Dhamaal 4 team went ahead with the shoot. It took four full days to film the intense and funny cliff scene. The final result is expected to bring both thrilling action and laugh-out-loud comedy, something that fans of the series have come to love.
The movie is shaping up to be more than just a light-hearted comedy. With real stunts, dedication from the cast, and a focus on safety, Dhamaal 4 promises to deliver a unique blend of humor and action. Thanks to Ajay Devgn’s leadership and quick thinking, what could have been a risky situation turned into one of the most exciting scenes in the film.
