Aamir Khan’s Big Comeback: ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Set for May 2025 Release with Genelia Deshmukh in Key Role.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is all set to make his big-screen comeback with a new film titled ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, which is expected to hit theatres by the end of May 2025. This film marks his return after a three-year break since his last release, Laal Singh Chaddha in 2022.

Directed by RS Prasanna, who previously made the hit movie Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017), Sitaare Zameen Par is being described as a “spiritual successor” to the much-loved Taare Zameen Par (2007). However, while the earlier film focused on childhood learning disabilities, this new story takes a different route.

This time, the film will highlight the journey of a group of adult men with intellectual disabilities who discover a new sense of purpose and confidence through sports. The film promises to be heartwarming and inspiring, much like Taare Zameen Par, but with a fresh and mature perspective.

Though the makers are keeping most details under wraps, a recent report by Mid-Day has given fans a sneak peek into the film’s progress. According to the report, a special song was recently filmed in Marol, Mumbai, featuring Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh, who plays an important role in the film.

The exact nature of the song and how it fits into the story is still a mystery. However, sources from the set say that it’s a “feel-good track” that might not be part of the main story. Instead, it could be used as a montage song during the end credits, tying together the film’s main themes and emotions.

The song was filmed over five days under the direction of RS Prasanna and was choreographed by Vijay Ganguly. It’s expected to add both energy and emotion to the film’s overall tone.

In more exciting news, Darsheel Safary, who played the lead role of Ishaan in Taare Zameen Par, will also appear in Sitaare Zameen Par. Fans are eagerly waiting to see his role in this new story.

Post-production work on the movie is almost complete, and Aamir Khan is now getting ready to begin promotions in early May. A source close to the project revealed, “The story is very close to Aamir’s heart. He wants to create awareness about the film early and present it in a thoughtful and respectful way.”
