So, Eid looked like the perfect festive occasion to attract a massive crowd at the box office.
Initially, Toxic was expected to enjoy a solo release during this period. That’s because another big film, Love & War, which was also eyeing Eid 2026, reportedly got postponed. Everything looked clear for Toxic to dominate the box office. But now, the team behind Dhamaal 4 has confirmed their Eid 2026 release, setting the stage for a huge clash.
Can Yash Beat Prabhas’ Hindi Box Office Record?
Prabhas became a pan-India superstar after the Baahubali series. In Hindi, Baahubali earned ₹120 crores, followed by Baahubali 2, which was a monster hit with ₹511 crores. Later, Saaho collected ₹149 crores. Altogether, his first three Hindi-dubbed films earned a whopping ₹780 crores.
Now let’s look at Yash’s numbers. His first pan-India film, KGF Chapter 1, earned ₹44.09 crores in Hindi, and the sequel KGF Chapter 2 made a massive ₹434.62 crores. Together, that’s ₹478.71 crores. This means Toxic needs to earn at least ₹301.30 crores in Hindi to beat Prabhas’ record.
If Toxic had released solo during Eid, it had a good chance of crossing ₹300 crores in Hindi. But now, with Dhamaal 4 releasing on the same day, things might not be so easy. The Dhamaal franchise is a much-loved comedy series in Bollywood and has a strong fan following. Plus, comedies often do well during festive seasons like Eid, when families go out to enjoy light-hearted entertainment.
