In the early hours of January 16, 2025, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked during a burglary at his home in Mumbai. The attacker, Shariful Islam, broke into Saif’s residence and got into a fight with the actor and his family. During the violent incident, Saif was stabbed six times, with one of the wounds dangerously close to his spine. He was quickly rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where doctors performed emergency surgery to save him.

Saif’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, recently spoke about the shocking night and how he found out about the attack. “I was on a night shoot when it happened,” Ibrahim shared. “He was stabbed around 2:30 am, and I got the call at 5:30 am. I hadn’t slept at all and rushed to see him. He had just come out of the ICU after surgery.”

Ibrahim said seeing his father awake brought him some relief. “He opened his eyes, spoke to Sara (my sister), and then asked for me. I was so happy. I told him, ‘I’m right here, dad.’ Then he said, ‘If you were there, you would’ve beaten that guy up.’ That made me cry. I really wish I had been there.”

Addressing rumors about the incident, Ibrahim also cleared up false reports. “Some people said I drove him to the hospital with my baby brother, but that’s not true,” he explained. “My dad actually walked into the hospital himself with the knife still stuck in him and said, ‘I need help.’ That’s how strong he is.”

Even while dealing with this personal trauma, Ibrahim is continuing to build his career in Bollywood. He recently made his acting debut with the Netflix film ‘Nadaaniyan’, a teen romantic comedy released on March 7, 2025. The movie is directed by Shauna Gautam and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment. It also stars Khushi Kapoor.

Talking about his experience as a newcomer in the film industry, Ibrahim admitted that being a star kid comes with its own set of challenges. “I was ready for people to talk about nepotism, but I didn’t expect it to be so harsh,” he said. “Still, I want to prove myself through my work.”

Despite the emotional pressure from his father’s attack and the scrutiny he faces as Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim remains focused on his goals. His honesty and determination are winning the hearts of many fans.

As Ibrahim steps into the spotlight, he shows he is not just a star kid but someone with real courage, talent, and dedication. From dealing with a family tragedy to facing the tough world of Bollywood, his story is one of strength and resilience.
