Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has finally spoken out about the Pahalgam terror attack and the growing tensions between India and Pakistan. While many celebrities had already expressed their support for the Indian Armed Forces and praised the country’s strong response through Operation Sindoor, Bachchan’s silence had sparked criticism online.
Now, nearly 20 days after the Pahalgam attack and five days after India’s precision strikes, Amitabh Bachchan posted an emotional and patriotic message on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). In his powerful post, he saluted the bravery of Indian soldiers and shared a heartbreaking story that touched many hearts.
In his post, the legendary actor recalled a horrifying moment—he described how a terrorist dragged a couple out during the holidays. The husband was stripped and shot dead in front of his pleading wife. Despite her desperate cries, the terrorist killed her husband brutally. When the wife begged the terrorist to kill her too, he refused and chillingly said, “No! You go and tell your people.”
This emotional memory deeply moved Bachchan. He remembered a line written by his father, the famous poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan:
“The world is asking for vermilion in the ashes of the pyre…”
He continued, saying someone then gave the woman the vermilion (symbol of marriage), bringing tears to many readers’ eyes.
To end his heartfelt message, Amitabh Bachchan quoted one of his most iconic movie dialogues from Agnipath and connected it with the name of India’s military operation — Operation Sindoor. He wrote:
“Jai Hind! Jai Hind ki Sena. Tu na thamega kabhi, tu na mudega kabhi, tu na rukega kabhi, kar shapath, kar shapath… Agni Path! Agni Path! Agni Path!!!”
This strong message quickly went viral on social media, with fans and followers praising Bachchan for finally sharing his thoughts. Many said the post was worth the wait — calling it poetic, emotional, and patriotic. People appreciated how he paid tribute not only to the soldiers but also highlighted the human cost of terrorism in such a touching way.
The actor’s post came at a time when the nation is still healing from the shock of the terror attack in Pahalgam, where several lives were lost. His message served as a reminder of the strength and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces and the pain endured by innocent civilians.
By invoking both poetry and patriotism, Amitabh Bachchan’s words struck a chord with millions. His heartfelt support for the army through Operation Sindoor added a meaningful voice from one of India’s most respected figures.
