Salman Khan, who usually stays silent during political or national issues, is now in the spotlight for a tweet he posted—and then quickly deleted. The actor recently shared a message thanking God for the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. But soon after, reports came in that Pakistan had broken the ceasefire by firing and using drones in Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.

Locals in Jammu and Kashmir said they heard loud explosions. Drones were even seen near the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, according to reports from News18. As soon as news of the new attacks spread, Salman Khan’s tweet was removed. But by then, screenshots of the post had already gone viral, and #SalmanKhan started trending on social media.

Mixed Reactions Online

The tweet caused a major reaction online. Some fans defended Salman Khan, saying he only wanted to spread a message of peace. One person tweeted, “Someone truly said that #SalmanKhan is the most misunderstood superstar. His social media is handled by his team, not him. Maybe the tweet meant no support for war, no loss of lives. Still, he deleted it after realizing the situation.”

Another fan said, “Salman Khan has always supported the Indian Armed Forces. One tweet about peace, when the ceasefire was announced by the Indian PM, doesn’t make him anti-national. Think logically.”

But many criticized Salman for posting only when peace was announced and staying silent during the actual attacks. One user tweeted in Hindi, saying, “I was a Salman fan for 15 years, but now I’m angry. He didn’t tweet when there was war, but posted about peace. And when the war started again, he deleted the tweet. Country comes first.”

Others mocked him, suggesting he deleted the tweet due to fear or backlash. One tweet said, “His film is already not doing well, and now this drama after 10 days of silence.”

Bigger Picture: Public Reactions During Sensitive Times

This incident shows how even a short tweet from a celebrity can create big reactions, especially during tense times. While fans are still discussing whether Salman Khan did the right thing or not, the bigger concern is about national security and the safety of civilians and soldiers.

On the Work Front

On the professional side, Salman Khan was last seen in “Sikandar”, which was released on March 30, 2025. The film, directed by A. R. Murugadoss and starring Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, was an Eid release, continuing Salman’s tradition. However, “Sikandar” had a poor run at the box office and failed to impress critics or audiences.

Final Thoughts

Whether people agree or not with Salman’s tweet, it shows how powerful celebrity voices can be during national issues. The debate may continue, but most agree that protecting the nation and supporting the Armed Forces must always come first.
