Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh’s latest release, Raid 2, is making waves at the box office. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the crime thriller is off to a strong start and has already made a place for itself in the list of the top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood movies of 2025. Despite facing some competition and a drop in collections on its second day, the film continues to enjoy positive word-of-mouth and strong spot bookings.
Strong Opening and Positive Word-of-Mouth
Raid 2 had a powerful opening on May 1, which was a national holiday (May Day). That helped attract large crowds to theatres. On its first day, the movie earned an impressive ₹19.71 crore across India, making it the third-highest opening for a Bollywood film in 2025.
However, the second day (Friday) was a normal working day, and as expected, the collections dropped. But the film still held strong, thanks to good reviews and positive word-of-mouth from the audience.
Day 2 Box Office Collection
According to early estimates, Raid 2 earned between ₹11.50 crore and ₹12.50 crore on day 2. This marks a drop of about 36% to 41% compared to its opening day. Still, it managed to stay ahead of other releases and remained the number one choice for moviegoers on Friday.
The film is facing competition from several other titles such as Kesari Chapter 2, Jaat, and The Bhootnii, which are dividing the audience. Despite this, Raid 2 continues to perform better than its rivals.
Total Collection After Two Days
After just two days, Raid 2 has collected an estimated total of ₹31.21 crore to ₹32.21 crore in India. With the weekend ahead, the film is expected to grow even more, especially with Saturday and Sunday expected to bring in higher numbers.
Raid 2 Enters Top 10 Bollywood Films of 2025
In just 48 hours, Raid 2 has entered the list of the top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2025. It has already beaten the lifetime collections of other films like Fateh, Emergency, and Crazxy. Currently, it holds the 8th position, and it’s all set to climb higher in the coming days.
Here’s the updated list of the top 10 Bollywood grossers of 2025:
- Chhaava – ₹615.39 crore
- Sky Force – ₹134.93 crore
- Sikandar – ₹129.95 crore
- Jaat – ₹88.61 crore
- Kesari Chapter 2 – ₹75.35 crore
- The Diplomat – ₹40.73 crore
- Deva – ₹33.97 crore
- Raid 2 – ₹31.21-32.21 crore (estimated)
- Emergency – ₹20.48 crore
- Fateh – ₹18.87 crore
Crazxy, which had a lifetime total of ₹14.03 crore, is now out of the top 10. Raid 2 is now targeting Deva, and it is very likely to overtake it by Saturday.
With momentum on its side, Raid 2 is expected to dominate the weekend and climb even higher in the box office rankings.
