According to a report from Variety, A Minecraft Movie made an estimated $1.1 million during its fourth weekend in China. It is now in fifth place at the Chinese box office, but it has crossed the $25 million mark, reaching a total of $25.7 million in China.
In North America, the movie is still going strong. On its fourth Tuesday, it earned $1.5 million, making it the fifth highest-grossing fourth Tuesday ever. It has now reached $382.6 million in the U.S., surpassing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II which earned $381.4 million. That makes A Minecraft Movie the fifth biggest release in Warner Bros. Pictures’ history in North America.
Globally, the film has earned a massive $818.5 million, crossing the $800 million mark and solidifying its place as one of the most successful video game adaptations ever made.
The movie stars Jason Momoa and Jack Black, two popular Hollywood actors who brought major star power to the film. Directed by Jared Hess, A Minecraft Movie was released in theaters on April 4, 2025.
