Sushant Had Bought the Rights to Murlikant Petkar’s Life Story

In a recent interview with Hindi Rush, actor Bhuvan Arora, who is part of Chandu Champion, shared this touching detail. He revealed that Sushant had a deep emotional connection to the story and had even purchased the rights to make the film.

“Originally, Sushant was supposed to do this film. He had bought the rights to Murlikant Petkar’s story himself. Even Murlikant sir confirmed this in one of his old interviews,” Bhuvan said during the interview.

Bhuvan also remembered a brief conversation with Sushant at an airport. The late actor had casually told him that he was working on a film about a Paralympic swimmer. At the time, Bhuvan didn’t think much of it. But when Chandu Champion was later announced, the memory came back to him.

He added, “We both loved acting and often spoke about films. It slipped my mind back then, but recently I saw an interview of Murlikant sir where he again mentioned that Sushant had planned to do the film. Ironically, I wasn’t in the film at that time. Now I’m part of it, but Sushant isn’t.”

Kartik Aaryan Fulfills the Dream Role

After Sushant’s unexpected passing, the project was taken over by director Kabir Khan, who cast Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. Kartik is known for his dedication, and for Chandu Champion, he underwent a major physical transformation to fit the role of a sportsman. His look and preparation for the film have caught the attention of many fans.
