Salman Khan’s latest film Sikandar is having a very difficult time at the box office. Despite being made on a huge budget and having a star-studded cast, the movie has failed to impress both critics and audiences. After 19 days in theatres, Sikandar is heading toward a disappointing end.

Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 19

On Day 19, Sikandar has managed to earn ₹129.41 crore at the Indian box office. This is far from what was expected from a Salman Khan film. The movie was made with a massive budget of ₹200 crore, but it has only recovered about 64% of its cost so far. At this rate, it seems unlikely that Sikandar will be able to break even.

The daily earnings have dropped significantly, and the film is now struggling to collect even ₹20 lakh per day. With this kind of performance, the future of Sikandar at the box office looks very bleak.

Negative Reviews and Tough Competition

One of the biggest reasons behind Sikandar’s failure is the negative word of mouth. Both critics and regular moviegoers have given poor reviews, which has seriously affected its collections.

Adding to the trouble is the strong competition in theatres. Sunny Deol’s film Jaat is performing well and attracting more viewers. On top of that, Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited movie Kesari Chapter 2 is also set to release soon. This will likely take away even more screens and audience attention from Sikandar.

Can Sikandar Beat Stree?

Interestingly, despite its underperformance, Sikandar might still be able to cross the lifetime collection of the 2018 hit film Stree. The Shraddha Kapoor-starrer earned ₹129.67 crore in India. As of now, Sikandar is just ₹26 lakh behind this mark. Even with such a poor run, the Salman Khan film may manage to beat Stree’s box office numbers, but that would be a small win in an otherwise disappointing journey.

About Sikandar

Sikandar is directed by AR Murugadoss, who is known for making action-packed films. The movie features Salman Khan in the lead role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, and Sathyaraj. It has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

The film was expected to be a major blockbuster, especially with such a big name attached and a large budget. However, the poor storyline, weak screenplay, and lack of audience interest have led to its downfall.

Final Thoughts

Sikandar’s performance at the box office shows that even the biggest stars can face setbacks if the content doesn’t connect with the audience. With negative reviews, falling collections, and strong competition, Sikandar is now on its way out of theatres.

Unless something unexpected happens, the film is likely to close its run as one of the most disappointing releases of the year.
