Marvel fans, the wait is finally over! The first full trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps is here, and it’s packed with surprises. This upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film will officially introduce the Fantastic Four to the MCU, and the trailer gives us our first real look at the superhero family in action.
The movie stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing). The trailer also introduces Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer, setting the stage for an epic cosmic adventure.
A Retro Start to a New Era
Set in a colorful, 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic world, The Fantastic Four: First Steps shows how the four heroes got their powers after a trip to space. When they return to Earth, they try to live a quiet life together in Manhattan. There’s even some big news in the trailer—Sue Storm reveals she’s pregnant with Reed Richards’ child, and Johnny and Ben are thrilled to become uncles.
However, their peaceful life doesn’t last long. A powerful new threat arrives from the sky: the Silver Surfer. She warns them that their world has been chosen for destruction, and it’s clear she’s not just making idle threats.
The Arrival of Galactus
In a dramatic moment, the trailer shows a massive shadow falling over New York City. Marvel fans will instantly recognize this as the arrival of Galactus, the powerful cosmic being known as the Destroyer of Worlds. Unlike earlier versions of the Fantastic Four in films, this time the main villain won’t be Doctor Doom. Instead, the team must go up against one of the biggest threats in the Marvel Universe.
The trailer also showcases the team’s superpowers. We see Reed stretching his body, Sue turning invisible, Johnny bursting into flames, and Ben showing off his rocky strength. Together, they must rise to the challenge and protect Earth.
Marvel’s First Family Enters the MCU

The movie is directed by Matt Shakman and produced by Kevin Feige, the mastermind behind the MCU. The cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles in undisclosed roles.
Fans can mark their calendars now—The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
