Veera Dheera Sooran is reaching the final stage of its theatrical journey. The action-packed Tamil film, starring Chiyaan Vikram, is preparing for its OTT release soon, which means its box office performance is almost over. Unfortunately, the film couldn’t create much impact at the box office and will end up with a lifetime worldwide collection of less than ₹70 crores.
Day 21 Box Office Collection
On day 21, Veera Dheera Sooran earned just ₹14 lakh at the Indian box office. This is a slight increase from day 20’s ₹13 lakh, but the film is clearly on its last legs in theatres. As per Sacnilk, the total India net collection so far is ₹42.05 crores. With the current pace, the film is expected to wrap up below ₹44 crores net in India.
If we include taxes, the gross collection from India stands at ₹49.61 crores.
Overseas Collection & Worldwide Total
In overseas markets, the film has already completed its theatrical run and has managed to earn ₹16 crores gross. When we combine both domestic and international figures, the worldwide total stands at ₹65.61 crores gross after 21 days.

Couldn’t Beat Anniyan’s Record
It’s a letdown for fans that Veera Dheera Sooran couldn’t surpass the box office record of Chiyaan Vikram’s iconic film Anniyan, which was released way back in 2005. Directed by S. Shankar, Anniyan was a huge hit and earned ₹81.10 crores at the worldwide box office, making it one of Vikram’s biggest successes.
As of now, Veera Dheera Sooran is trailing behind by 19.09% and there is hardly any chance it will close the gap in the remaining days of its run.
OTT Release on the Way
With theatrical earnings almost done, the focus now shifts to the OTT premiere, which is expected to happen soon. The digital release might bring in a new wave of audience appreciation, especially for fans who missed it in theatres.
