Deepika was his only serious relationship. But maybe something was missing in their bond. Maybe he wasn’t completely himself. If the relationship had been perfect, it wouldn’t have ended.”
Neetu also added that she never forces her opinion but shares her thoughts in her own way. “If I feel the girl is not right, I say it in my own way. But I won’t say ‘Don’t marry her’ or ‘Don’t be with her.’ It’s his decision. I just express what I feel,” she said.
There were also rumors that Neetu Singh did not like Deepika Padukone, and that this caused the breakup. These rumors were addressed by Ranbir Kapoor in Rajat Sharma’s show Aap Ki Adalat. Ranbir made it clear that his mother was not the reason behind the split. “It was a matter between two people. But people like to create theories, which only causes more trouble. My mother loves me and wants me to live my life the way I want. She also liked Deepika. So no, she was not the reason for the breakup,” Ranbir explained.
Even after their breakup, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have maintained a friendly relationship. They worked together in successful films like Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Tamasha, showing that they could still be professional and respectful despite their past.
