Sunny Deol, the actor famous for his iconic “dhai kilo ka haath” line, is currently busy promoting his upcoming action film Jaat. The film also stars Randeep Hooda as the main villain and promises high-octane drama with Sunny playing a powerful vigilante. Known for his larger-than-life solo roles in recent years, Sunny has mostly been seen as the lone warrior on screen. But now, the legendary actor is ready to return to a classic Bollywood format — the two-hero film.
And guess who Sunny Deol wants to share the screen with? None other than Shah Rukh Khan!
Yes, you read that right. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Sunny was asked which actor he would like to work with in a two-hero film. He surprised everyone by saying, “I think anyone who is… Shah Rukh ke saath ek hi film ki thi. Toh ek aur kar sakte hain (I did only one film with Shah Rukh. So we can do another).”
This potential reunion is exciting for many Bollywood fans, especially those who remember their iconic film Darr, released in 1993. In that movie, Sunny played the hero while Shah Rukh Khan portrayed the obsessive villain opposite Juhi Chawla. Although the film was a hit and SRK’s role became a career-defining one, things didn’t end well behind the scenes. Sunny was reportedly unhappy with how SRK’s negative character was glorified, and the two didn’t work together again.
However, it looks like the two stars have put the past behind them. With Sunny now expressing interest in collaborating with SRK again, fans are hopeful for a film that brings two powerhouses of Hindi cinema back together after over three decades.
While Sunny is keen on working with Shah Rukh on screen, there’s another Khan who holds a special place in his heart — Salman Khan. The Gadar star spoke warmly about his friendship with Salman, calling it a bond that started even before they became actors. Sunny shared, “Salman and I have a great bonding, and it has been from years. A bonding is a bonding, which we can’t deny, and there’s a lot of love.”
He also revealed that Salman shares a very close relationship with his father, Dharmendra. “He is very, very close to my dad. Bolta bhi hai ki ‘Main papa ka beta hoon’ (He even says, ‘I am Papa’s son’). I think he bonds with all of us, Bob, me, and my dad.”
Meanwhile, Sunny Deol fans don’t have to wait too long to see him back in action. His upcoming movie Jaat is all set to release this Friday, April 10. With its intense action sequences, a gripping storyline, and the powerhouse duo of Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda, the film is already generating major buzz.
